The Psychological Themes of Menopause

$147.00

Time: 9:30-11am AWST
Date: Friday 1st November
Cost: $147 plus GST

The peri-menopausal period is a time of immense psychological vulnerability AND opportunity.

The “menopausal ride” is often full of unknowns in terms of duration, intensity and impact on the individual. We don’t know who will experience the range of physical, cognitive and psychological symptoms nor how intensely or for how long.

But the qualitative research, literature and social commentary, reveals a handful of psychological themes that women wrestle with during this period of time. Themes that appear to reflect the struggle to evolve and fully become Oneself. Unsurprisingly, they appear to influence wellbeing in the second half of their life.

In essence, peri/menopause is particularly fertile ground for considerable psychological struggle AND growth.

This webinar will cover;

  • The developmental tasks of menopause

  • The parallels with puberty, pregnancy and transition to motherhood

  • The psychological themes of menopause

  • How these themes show up in individual's lives and the therapy room

You will receive a Zoom link and reminder emails closer to the webinar date.
